Harley Davidson Sales Consultant

Responsibilities:
Greets customer on sales floor and performs a needs analysis including make, type, and features of vehicle desired.  
Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on road.  
Researches availability of models and optional equipment using computer database.  
Works with Sales and F&I Managers and negotiates sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, license fee, and discount, and requirements for financing or lease payment of vehicle.  
Walks the lot and visually inspects inventory.  
Attends/completes required training and department meetings.  
Regular and predictable attendance.

job requirement

  • Harley Davidson sales experience preferred.
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sales skills, great communication, and excellent customer service skills are a must.
  • Organization and thorough follow-up skills are necessary for staying in touch with the client prior to and after the sale.
  • Current valid driver’s license AND MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT is required for all employees.

Down Home Harley-Davidson is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Apparel and Licensing Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our MotorClothes® and general merchandise department. This role is responsible for maintaining an exceptional retail experience, overseeing Harley-Davidson branded apparel and licensed products, and supporting dealership goals through effective merchandising and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service & Sales Support
    • Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the Harley-Davidson lifestyle with professionalism and enthusiasm.
    • Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and purchases.
    • Train and guide team members to enhance product knowledge and upselling techniques.
  • Inventory & Merchandising
    • Assist in ordering, receiving, tagging, and stocking merchandise.
    • Maintain accurate inventory counts and help with regular cycle counts.
    • Execute visual merchandising plans and ensure displays are clean, organized, and brand-compliant.
  • Team Supervision
    • Help manage daily schedules and task assignments for the MotorClothes® team.
    • Support staff training, coaching, and performance feedback in coordination with management.
    • Lead by example on the sales floor with a hands-on, positive attitude.
  • Marketing & Branding Support
    • Assist in preparing dealership-branded merchandise in compliance with Harley-Davidson licensing guidelines.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team on promotions, events, and social media content for the apparel department.

job requirement

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of retail sales experience (apparel or lifestyle brand preferred)
  • Prior team lead or supervisory experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service
  • Ability to stay organized, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Familiarity with Harley-Davidson culture and products preferred
  • Basic computer skills (POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office)
